Forum Thread: MadVFX 3d animation help

I am trying to complete the "MadVFX" course in AE, but in week 1's homework, there is a file I don't have a clue how to replicate.

How do you make this neon glow effect, and is it reflecting onto the 3d model, or would it be applied to the 3d model with a layer placed ontop on screen mode?

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

P.s I would recommend this course to everyone, it is really good.
